MN Youth in Jazz was created to provide opportunities for young people to learn about and participate in jazz music. We bring together young musicians from the Twin Cities metro area to create together alongside industry professionals.
Minnesota Youth Jazz Bands is committed to educating students in a community in which every member’s voice is valued and respected. We believe that music should be available to all students and that diversity is essential to creativity. We’ll work with our students to provide them what they need to succeed.

This 20-person honors band is open to all musicians of high school age in the greater Twin Cities area. The instrumentation is that of a traditional jazz big band. Rehearses at Spring Lake High School.
